In this article historical and traditional food practices are brought up as a way to save a cultures identity.
I feel that in Finland their cultural identity is very strongly rooted in their traditonal foods that they make, specifically in the northern parts of Finland, such as Lapland.
However, for Finnish Americans I feel that as the generations have gone on they have lost their cultural identity and have been swalloed up by the American way.
I feel that if Finland continues in the direction it is going with its traditional food practices, it will not have a problem keep its cultural identity.
