During week 4 I cooked a lovely dinner for my friends and myself. It took several hours due to having to let the dough for the bread rise, but it was totally worth the wait.

I started my afternoon off by making the dough for the wheat bread.

Waiting for the dough to rise for the first time.
Punching the dough down before the second rising.
Letting the dough rise for a second time. Then its in the oven it goes.

While the bread was baking I then started on the soup.

Stirring the soup while I add some cheddar cheese.

The bread had all been gobbled up before it had even cooled down and the soup was ready. All of the soup was gone by the end of dinner too. Personally, both recipes are going down in my cook book. Both are very easy to make and very delicious. Over all this dinner was a definite hit.

This broccoli cheddar soup is very similar to the Finnish summer soup. The only difference is the added cheddar cheese, coming from the Midwest not surprising, broccoli and instead of green beans celery is used.
