My name is Natalie and I am raising five American Guinea Hogs for meat! In spring of 2020 I started a vegetable garden to try to become more self-resilient. Long story short, I learned that the amount of energy to grow vegetables for sustenance is not worth it for me. So my family shifted to raising pigs for meat! We got our five American Guinea Hogs when they were 10 months old in June 2020. I will be exploring the ecological, social, flavorful impacts of farming Homestead American Guinea Hogs vs. Industrial Hogs as well as working to shape and note their flavor, learning nose to tail butchery, charcuterie, and the History of the American Guinea Hogs. This page is a constant work in progress!
