Program of Project Description

In this winter ILC, Applied Agricultural Research Mentorship and Coordination, the student will be prepping and planning for the variety trials and student projects that will be taking place within the Community Gardens and the Organic Farm in the coming growing season. As the new Community Gardens Coordinator, the student will be responsible for managing the garden space and ensuring that all growers within the garden are supported in carrying out their growing plans. The intent of the student’s work for this quarter is to establish a solid foundation so that the research projects of the coming growing season will be timely and effective. The student’s goal is to increase the opportunities for other students to learn from and interact with the farm and garden space, ultimately growing food to be eaten by our local Evergreen community. 

  Mentoring and coordinating with individuals across multiple branches of institutional operations i.e., students, staff, & faculty to efficiently prepare for agricultural research projects.  How to effectively coordinate the Evergreen Community Gardens to be both a community growing space and a learning space for students and student projects.   Work will be catalogued through this ePortfolio.
