As I was strolling the beach on Florida’s Atlantic coastline, I found my way to a prickly pear cactus. The blossoms of this cactus resemble roses. There is many ways to prepare this wild flower and the benefits of cactus include 1 gram of protein, vitamin c, vitamin e vitamin k, potassium and calcium to name a few. (www.webmd.com>diet>health)
Prickly Pear Cactus blossoms after harvested.
They resemble hops, but have the texture of a pickle and taste nutty and of lemon peel.

This video is from a few day’s ago and I highly suggest viewing this wisdom about Alder Tree Medicine.
Out of acknowledgement and respect I am using this video for educational resources to further my understanding of foraging and food sovereignty.
