Campus Recruitment (01/09/2021)

Description

On Saturday, 01/09/2021, I went door-to-door to a series of buildings on campus. At each building, I knocked on each individual apartment door. While doing so, I dressed myself in a relatively cheap suit I bought at Target in an attempt to improve comfort of those that answered the door. I went out with 40 business cards when I started, each of which stated on the back:
“Hey greeners! We’re changing the world’s systems, one community at a time… If you want to be a part of that change, here’s what you can do!
-Message our founder’s Instagram @_dylan.h_ to get a link to our discord group.
-Start creating!”
No one answered for the most part; I used painter’s tape to put the cards on the door of any apartments that did not. Those that did were given a basic explanation of Project: New World and what to expect from meetings, along with instructions on how to join the discord group. At the end of the endeavor, I left with 2 business cards. I am planning on doing this process again next Thursday with all the remaining buildings.
