Field Preparation

After we side dressed the beds with feather-meal last week, we were able to prepare the field with irrigation and plastic mulch. I am learning that field studies like this, are rather time intensive. Particularly because we are working around environmental factors that can easily skew data. For example, we constantly had to remeasure field increments, and be aware of climate conditions that could impact our procedure.
Another main focus this week included germination paper writing and adapting the plan due to lack of access to the germination chamber trial.
