On this page, Taste: What We Hunger For students will be able to see what the weekly plans for herb garden work during our Community Gardening module will be. I will post weekly goals to be viewed over the weekend, with a follow-up of what actually occurred during class as well.

Preparation for Week 9:
Weekly Goals:
- Continue weeding the entire left side of the Herb Garden, including the inner herb spiral
- Make a list of herbs to be added to the garden before the end of the quarter
- Lay cardboard and mulch any fully weeded beds

- Weeding in Quadrants 2 and 5
- Putting woodchips down if Quadrants 2 and 5 are fully weeded

*After missing work in the Community Gardens last week, prepare to support Sarah Dyer there on Monday this week. If time allows, Herb Garden work will be as follows*
- Weeding in Quadrants 2 and 5

Week 2:
- Personal meeting with Beth before class to discuss weekly herb garden goals:

- Eventual creation of updated herb garden map
- Greenhouse tasks to support Beth
- Clearing moss/weeds and adding new soil to potted plants in the RBGH
- Mixing fertilizers and soils in the heated greenhouse
Week 1:
- Introductions!
- Brief tour of the community garden
- Weeding of two class community garden beds
- Meeting Beth on the Organic Farm to help with weeding fava bean beds and then planting 300 feet of fava beans
- I stayed after class with Sarah Dyer to help plant three different arugula varieties and extra fava beans from Beth in our community garden plot
