Being part of a diaspora group is a complex and intricate existence, at once a generalized & deeply personalized experience. There is no one way to live in the diaspora, and it is this diversity that has long been a focus of both my personal interests and academic studies. Through this blog, I will be sharing my stories from my little corner of my diasporas—as someone of a mixed-race background, I have always lived in multitudes and hyphens, and thus my stories follow suit.

In Crying in H Mart, a book that is very near and dear to my heart, Michelle Zauner described us diaspora kids as “parachute kids” and I think we’re all just trying to find our landing.
