On May 3rd 2023 the annual Jose Gomez farmworker justice day was took place in Evans Hall library lobby on The Evergreen State College. The event welcomed multiple food justice classes, community members and evergreen staff & faculty. Our guests speaker for the morning of the event were promotoras Lucy Lopez and Esther Perez from Community to Community, Lelo Juarez an Immigrant Justice Fellow from C2C, finally a political director from Familias Unidas por la Justicia Edgar Franks.

Thanks to the funded awards to the Presidents Equity Fund we were successfully able to execute our plant for an importan, education and engaging event were attendees could learn how to advocate for our farm works. We were able to bring and justly compensate our speakers and Spanish language interpreter Fanny Cordero to translate our Spanish speaking panelists that shared their experience, knowledge and time. We also thank our other guests, planning team and sponsors for their continued support:
