Coyote & Crow (C&C) in a Longhouse
Join us for an exciting evening of gaming, imagination, and community at Coyote & Crow (C&C) in a Longhouse! Co-led by students and faculty from the Native Pathways Program, and co-hosted with the s’gʷi gʷi ʔ altxʷ: House of Welcome Longhouse and Tribal Relations, this event brings together the spirit of Indigenous Futurism and eco-engagement. We are also proud to partner with the Indigenous Futurists Society and various student groups in Student Activities.
When: First Weekend of March, Sat and Sun
Where: House of Welcome, Longhouse
What: A night for exploring the world of Coyote & Crow, making your own character and enjoying good food!
Much like the renowned “D&D in a Castle,” this event invites you to step into the Coyote & Crow universe, an Indigenous-created tabletop role-playing game, alongside other collective and eco-themed board games. These games explore civic intelligence, community resilience, and Solarpunk values—envisioning and building pathways to a brighter, more sustainable world.
What to Expect:
- Immersive Gameplay: Dive into the Coyote & Crow world to navigate complex scenarios, address climate challenges, and explore new futures.
- Open Workshop: Create your own “climate-action hero” and develop characters inspired by advocacy, leadership, and bold imaginations.
- Learn and Play: Whether you’re new to tabletop games or a seasoned adventurer, we’ll guide you through the rules and gameplay of various eco-focused board games.
- Community and Connection: Escape reality, explore a fantasy world, and enjoy food, fellowship, and thought-provoking discussions on how we can co-create better futures.
Come for the fun, stay for the inspiration, and leave with ideas to bring change to the real world! All are welcome.
