Snowberry:

Location: Entrance to the Mountain Habitat

Location: Small shrub along the start of the path
Origins: Cascade and Rocky Mountains, as well as parts of Canada and the United States
Application: Mountain Huckleberry has been a food staple for millennia, being eaten raw or used to in baked goods, jams, and other consumable goods. It is also an important plant for pollinators and other wildlife.
Evergreen Huckleberry:
Scientific Name: Vaccinium ovatum
Location: Small shrub along the midway point of the path
Origins: Northwestern parts of North America
Application: Evergreen Huckleberry has been a used by both Indigenous and modern populations for consumption, being eaten raw or used to in baked goods, jams, and other consumable goods such as drinks. It is also an important plant for pollinators and large populations of birds and other animals.
Oval Leaf Blueberry:
Scientific Name: Vaccinium ovalifolium
Location: Along the side trail wrapped around the Alaskan Cedar
Origins: North America, Pacific Northwest
Application: The Blueberry is primarily used for consumption with primary examples being wine or jelly, it is also a notably important food source for both Black and Grizzly Bear populations.
Pacific Trailing Blackberry:
Scientific Name: Rubus ursinus
Location: Near the entrance of the lefthand side
Origins: Northwestern Crop that grows from Pacific Ocean to Cascades and beyond
Application: P.T.B is most commonly used as food by both wildlife and humans due to its taste and look.
