Before I moved to Washington, I had originally lived just a mile or two down the road from the cheese factory. I have fond memories of picking up fresh string cheese and curds on Fridays. Now days the factory seems to have at least doubled in size. They now have a separate building down the road for shipping. The cheese store has also doubled in size, they now offer more than just cheese. They have a little cafe, serving fresh foods and Cedar Crest ice creams. The store also offers many different types of gifts and wines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"967\" height=\"1200\" src=\"https:\/\/wordpress.evergreen.edu\/tmtaa-portfolio-f20-valerie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/464\/2021\/05\/MVIMG_20200925_1321582-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-722\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wordpress.evergreen.edu\/tmtaa-portfolio-f20-valerie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/464\/2021\/05\/MVIMG_20200925_1321582-1.jpg 967w, https:\/\/wordpress.evergreen.edu\/tmtaa-portfolio-f20-valerie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/464\/2021\/05\/MVIMG_20200925_1321582-1-900x1117.jpg 900w, https:\/\/wordpress.evergreen.edu\/tmtaa-portfolio-f20-valerie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/464\/2021\/05\/MVIMG_20200925_1321582-1-768x953.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 967px) 100vw, 967px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The cheese factory takes in milk from around 140 different dairy farms in 8 different counties, which is around 141,000 gallons of milk a day. It takes over 18,000 cows to produce that much milk a day.<br>Cedar Valley has received the Seal of Excellence Award from the State Fair five times now for their string cheese.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cedar Valley is a local cheese factory in Wisconsin.
