A series of “collectors” would be in charge of picking up these bins once every Saturday, bringing the materials to the organic farm on campus. Once at the farm, there are a series of “laborers” in charge of balancing the correct ratio of greens to browns, as well as rotating the compost piles once every Monday.
After the compost becomes marketable, it is bagged and sold to a series of local farms. The profits are distributed among the suppliers, collectors, distributors, Evergreen’s organic farm, and my organization on a monthly basis. In this case, “profits” include any amount of money made after covering costs of production. 10% is split among suppliers, (this can be taken away from individuals if regulations are not followed when providing materials) 25% among laborers and collectors, 25% among Evergreen’s Organic Farm for providing appropriate facilities, and the remaining 40% is given to Project: New World.

Business Model

Compost Processes

Legalities

On-Campus Facilities (Process)

Progress Updates: 01/05/2021: Discussion with Steve Scheurell and Sarah Williams; a LOT of planning left to do Mission Statement: The…

[1
