Program of Project Description<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Narrative: In this spring ILC, entitled Plants and Planets:\u00a0Tending Evergreen’s Medieval Herb Garden<\/strong>\u00a0the student will use the texts\u00a0Braiding Sweetgrass<\/em>,\u00a0by Robin Wall Kimmer,\u00a0Culpeper’s Complete Herbal<\/em>\u00a0by Nicholas Culpeper, and\u00a0Muck and Mind by\u00a0<\/em>Jonathan Code\u00a0in order to explore the connection between the cosmos and the growing, harvesting, and preparation of medicinal herbs from multiple points of view. The student will tend to the medieval\u00a0herb garden at the Evergreen Organic Farm and show her learning through a weekly e-portfolio log, as well as posts on wordpress and other art\/documentary mediums.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
