Unfortunately, we were unable to begin the germination study this week. It&#8217;s been decided that circumstances have changed the length of our original methodology. This means that our experiment will need to be reduced to one week- 7 days, and there will be less data for analysis. However, <em>Solanum aethiopicum L.<\/em> has been known to germinate in 4-5 days, within controlled conditions<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.indianjournals.com\/ijor.aspx?target=ijor:ijar2&amp;volume=56&amp;issue=2&amp;article=002\" target=\"_blank\">(Botey et al., 2022)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/wordpress.evergreen.edu\/laurareusche2024gilovarietytrial\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1490\/2024\/05\/IMG_4717-768x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-113\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wordpress.evergreen.edu\/laurareusche2024gilovarietytrial\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1490\/2024\/05\/IMG_4717-768x1024.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/wordpress.evergreen.edu\/laurareusche2024gilovarietytrial\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1490\/2024\/05\/IMG_4717-225x300.jpeg 225w, https:\/\/wordpress.evergreen.edu\/laurareusche2024gilovarietytrial\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1490\/2024\/05\/IMG_4717-rotated.jpeg 900w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><figcaption> 32&#8243; by 43&#8242; beds and 18&#8243; by 43&#8242; paths measured on Friday. This process had to be re-assed multiple times to check any offset impacts due to tension, weather, or other environmental factors. Feather-meal was side-dressed 8&#8243; outwards, on the right of each bed.
