This internship is designed to give the student a space to reflect on and document their learnings from a real world experience of working on a local market farm that prizes providing high quality food to their community as well as passionately stewarding the land with respect and care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To achieve these goals, the student will work on the farm site collaboratively with their field supervisor and crew members to maintain the eight acre organic vegetable farm through: harvesting and tending crops, weed, pest, and irrigation management, soil and bed preparation, and processing of produce for markets, as well as completing other farm projects as needed. The student&nbsp;will also use the text&nbsp;<em>Agroecology: Leading the Transformation to a Just and Sustainable Food System, by Stephen R.
