Lucy Madrigal

Lucy Madrigal<\/strong> (ella \/ ella) es una chicana biling\u00fce, nacida y criada, y mujer de color del condado de Skagit. Sus ra\u00edces est\u00e1n en Michoac\u00e1n, M\u00e9xico. Es una orgullosa hija de padres trabajadores que emigraron en la d\u00e9cada de 1980 en busca del “Sue\u00f1o Americano”. Ella es una firme defensora de los derechos humanos y de los trabajadores agr\u00edcolas. Sin miedo a decir lo que piensa, Lucy es la Coordinadora de Promotoras en C2C, donde lucha junto al Equipo de Liderazgo de C2C y otros para crear conciencia sobre las condiciones de vida y de trabajo de los trabajadores agr\u00edcolas. Ella apoya a su comunidad promoviendo la justicia y la equidad. del<\/p>\n

Lucy Madrigal<\/strong> (she \/ she) is a bilingual Chicana, born and raised, and woman of color from Skagit County. Her roots are in Michoac\u00e1n, Mexico. She is a proud daughter of working parents who emigrated in the 1980s in search of the “American Dream.” She is a strong advocate for human rights and farm workers. Unafraid to speak her mind, Lucy is the Promotoras Coordinator at C2C, where she fights alongside the C2C Leadership Team and others to raise awareness about the working and living conditions of farmworkers. She supports her community by promoting justice and equity.<\/p>\n

Edgar Franks

Edgar Franks<\/strong> es el Director Politico para el sindicato independiente de trabajadores del campo Familias Unidas por la Justicia cual fue fundado en 2013. Los miembros de Familias Unidas son Mixteco y Triqui. Es el \u00fanico sindicato en Estados Unidos que es liderada por gente ind\u00edgena. La responsabilidades incluyen tener a los miembros informados de legislaci\u00f3n y leyes que afectan a gente del campo y inmigrantes. Al igual de apoyar a los miembros en cualquier forma que ellos ocupen. Edgar tambien representa al sindicato en otras alianzas nacionales y internacionales. Es parte de De la Red de Labor y sustentabilidad donde forman strategias para apoyar a trabajadores y proteger al medio ambiente. Tambi\u00e9n es parte de la mesa directiva de la alianza por Justicia Clim\u00e1tica del Estado de Washington.<\/p>\n

Edgar Franks<\/strong> is the Political Director for the independent union of farm workers, Familias Unidas por la Justicia, which was founded in 2013. The members of Familias Unidas are Mixteco and Triqui. It is the only union in the United States that is led by indigenous people. Responsibilities include keeping members informed of legislation and laws that affect rural people and immigrants. As well as supporting the members in whatever way they need. Edgar also represents the union in other national and international alliances. Edgar is on the board of Network of Labor and sustainability where they form strategies to support workers and protect the environment. He is also on the board of directors of the Washington State Climate Justice Alliance.<\/p>\n\n\n
