Hey howdy!
This is a website dedicated to information about the past, present, and future of the student managed Community Gardens on The Evergreen State College Campus.
The Evergreen State College’s Community Gardens and Demeter’s Garden are managed and maintained by the student group: SCARF (Students for Community Agriculture and Regenerative Farming).
SCARF Mission Statement
SCARF is a collaborative student effort dedicated to serving the Cooper Point community, promoting food sovereignty, and utilizing regenerative and sustainable practices. We work hard to provide hands on educational experiences and resources, including working models, libraries, seed and plant start distributions, workshops, and weekly work parties. We design, steward, and continue to develop and maintain many of the aspects inside Demeter’s Garden and the Evergreen Community Gardens, promoting practices that will bring about a culture of sustainability and ecologically aware practices.
