We formed Sustainable Gardenscapes when were students at the Evergreen State College. We all have experience in the Changemaker Lab program. Our team includes artists, veterans, entrepreneurs, students, and alumni. Together, we have have formed a truly dynamic gardening team!
Nikki Gowin
Communications
Nikki has experience in biology, sustainability studies, and visual arts. She includes sustainability and creativity into the team’s garden designs.
Jonathan “Shaggy” Patterson
Operations
Shaggy has experience in fish, reptile & fowl husbandry, aquaponics, ceramics and leadership. He guides the team in finding synergy & direction.
Bee Pfannenstiel
Administration
Bee has experience in permaculture, fine art & project management. She oversees plant propagation, inventory, and record-keeping. She also contributes presentation and design skills to the team.
Techi Brant
Education
Techi is our education consultant. She has a passion for sharing knowledge and working with school children to learn through growing. She is helping us develop content to use as we build garden education partnerships.
Kyle Smalley
Garden Installation
Kyle has a passion for working with his hands and making a difference in our region. He is a work horse who helps us with garden installations and implementation!
Garry McNealley
Design
Garry contributes concrete garden design skills to our team. He has been working with concrete for the last ten years, with projects from wedding altars to man-made caves and everything in between. He is fascinated by creating things and loves using concrete to make high quality items that pass the test of time.
Adam Humphrey
Finance
Adam is the Accountant for our team. He is responsible for bank statements and profit and loss statements. He also helps the team understand how the business is doing.
